DOMINATOR – Modular Chisel Seed Drill
DOMINATOR is a modular chisel seed drill designed for deep cultivation without ploughing. It is attached to the rear three-point linkage of the tractor and is available in working widths of 3.0 m, 4.0 m, and 4.8 m. The frame can be rigid or foldable with the help of hydraulic cylinders.
Excellent Soil Cultivation
The cultivator is equipped with working legs arranged in three rows with optimal spacing and ample space under the frame. This ensures excellent soil loosening and residue mixing, as the soil is cut across the entire working width of the machine.
Working Tines
The unit uses the renowned Horsch brand of tines, which guarantee outstanding results even with long-term use.
Safety
The working tines can be equipped with three different types of protection, suitable for various challenges:
- Double spring protection: Ensures high durability, saving time and money with effective protection against stones. It allows for evasion in case of overload and quick return to the ground. Additionally, each beam is individually screwed to the frame, protecting the structure from strong impacts.
- Hydraulic protection: Designed for heavy soils. Safety is ensured by a hydraulic actuator connected to a gas accumulator, which cushions the tine during operation and lifts it up after exceeding the pressure in the system. This protection allows smooth operation without stopping the tractor.
- Breakaway mechanical protection: When an obstacle is encountered, the securing screw is sheared off, protecting the working elements. To continue working, the screw must be replaced with a new one. This type of protection results in a lower machine weight compared to other protection systems.
Leveling Plates
Leveling discs mounted on rubber shock absorbers and maintenance-free hubs ensure additional soil leveling. They are arranged in an offset system, where one disc throws soil onto the other, leading it under the roller. This system prevents the formation of mounds by leveling the surface and additionally mixing the soil. The depth of the discs is set using connectors with a scale, allowing for smooth adjustment.
Flexible Soil Cultivation
The unit can intensively mix crop residues up to a depth of 15 cm. By dismantling the side undercutters, it can cultivate the soil deeply up to 30 cm, while mounting optional narrow chisels allows working up to 40 cm deep.
Convenient Control from the Tractor Cab
The parallelogram hydraulic system of the rear rollers with two cylinders combined with a depth scale allows for quick, accurate, and convenient setting of the working depth.
Durability and Long Service Life
All moving elements are equipped with lubrication-free polymer sliding bearings from the German company IGUS. This significantly extends the lifespan of the components and enhances user comfort.
