ERMO mole ploughs make air circulate in the pore space of soil and facilitate the outflow of water beneath the superficial layers, particularly in clay soil. This leads to the creation of more favourable conditions for plant growth and to protect roots from the risk of the development of dangerous humidity stagnation.
During the days following a rainfall, they also make it easier for the tractors to transit, as otherwise they would not be able to move forward. The frame of the ERMO mole ploughs is equipped with 1, 2 or 3 Hardox 400 steel spikes with high yield strength, able to dig, to a variable degree, from 70 to 130 cm in depth.
In the rear part, each tooth is equipped with a metallic cylinder. It shapes the wall of the gallery that is traced and creates temporary ducts to drain the exceeding water. The models featuring 2 or 3 spikes can add a pair of wheels to have more control on depth. In order to facilitate the extractions of tines from the soil, ERMO mole ploughs are equipped with a hydraulic cylinder.
